Secutech, organized by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, opens the doors to its 17th edition from 19 – 21 March at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, taking up over 35,000 sqm of exhibition space. Over 500 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions present a range of security devices and systems both for residential and commercial use.

One of the most anticipated highlights to this year's show is the growth in IP surveillance technology. Exhibitors will showcase state-of-the-art IP-based products that utilise technologies such as HD, H.265, 4K2K, lowlight as well as high-frame resolution.

Mr Parson Lee, Manager Director for Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd commented: “We are expecting a phenomenal edition for the 2014 show. Our exhibitors have consistently affirmed that each year, Secutech provides one of the best opportunities to them for connecting with existing customers, as well as discovering new business. And this year, we believe exhibitors will have even more business opportunities, as over 28,000 electronic security as well as fire & safety professionals are projected to visit the show from more than 100 countries and regions.”

Secutech provides a number of product presentations, forums, seminars and networking platforms to not only increase knowledge between professionals, including Secutech Excellence Award, Global Digital Security Forum Asia, SMAhome International Conference, and CompoSec.

Secutech Excellence Award gathers manufacturers of HD surveillance devices. This award presents the best brands in IP cameras and Network Video Recorders (NVRs). From 19 – 20 March, attendees will be able to witness demonstrations from nominated brands, and allowed to vote on this year's main criteria – cameras that offer superior quality under low-light environments. Over 20 industry brands, including Dahua, Bosch, Hikvision, QNAP and Sony will participate in this event. The award presentation ceremony is scheduled to take place at 11:00am on 21 March.

Global Digital Security Forum Asia 2014 focuses on global video management and integration platforms. The forum will look into the growth of video management systems. Special highlights will include a case study presentation from Mr Suwich Chitkasemsuk of Digitalcom, Thailand, regarding the security management system deployed in Thailand's Customs Department. A panel discussion is also scheduled on the present and future state of video management systems from such influential brands as Aimetis, Milestone, Mirasis and Verint Systems.

SMAhome International Conference, newly-launched this year, focuses on home security camera technology. The conference is held alongside a demonstration hall and display booth to present a range of WIFI and other wireless transmission-based security cameras for comparison purposes.

CompoSec, together with its concurrent three-day conference, serves as a comprehensive platform for security device component suppliers to present their designs and solutions as a cohesive collection, in one of the most in-demand sectors of the security market. Suppliers of semi-conductors, hard disks, software and much more will all be on display, with HD surveillance, diversified storage and system upgrade taking centre stage for the event's fifth edition. Over 70 brands such as ADATA, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Intel, Microsoft and Semtech are confirmed to participate this year.
