The Government Technology & Services Coalition (GTSC), the premier organization for small and mid-sized companies in homeland and national security, announced that Michael Jackson, Chairman & CEO of VidSys and former Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Departments of Homeland Security and Transportation, was named Chair of the organization's Steering Committee.

“I look forward to helping share innovative, pragmatic lessons learned from small and mid-sized businesses serving public agencies responsible for essential security missions,” said Jackson. “GTSC provides an invaluable, nonpartisan forum to explore how such companies can best support vital mission requirements, especially for the Federal government.”

Jackson joins Elaine Kapetanakis, CEO of Kapstone Technologies, Chair of the GTSC Emerging Small Business Group; Chris Gorman, Managing Partner, The Efiia Group, Chair of the Small Market Group and Brad Cole, Vice President, Agilex, Chair of the Lion's Den, GTSC's mid-tier companies.

“Our government partners face a host of political, technological, budgetary and workforce challenges. We are thrilled to have Mr. Jackson join our cadre of advisors to assure we lead the way for collaboration and understanding in service to our mission of a secure America,” said Kristina Tanasichuk, founder and CEO of the Coalition. “Tremendous people are working on both sides of the aisle who understand the mission and some of the barriers to achieving it – they want to get these things right and GTSC is proud to be a platform to forward that conversation.”
