Background
Established in 1989 by a German engineer, GMS (GermanMotorSports Taiwan) specializes in race car preparation and supercharger / turbocharger installation and maintenance. The brother team of Mr. Alvin and Albert Lee took over the ownership of GMS in 2007 after the retirement of the original founder, and began actively participate in motor sport activities, in particular after the establishment of the first FIA approved track, the PenBay International Circuit in Taiwan, on 2011. In addition to participating in competitions, GMS regularly holds track days and driving schools, and has become a force to be reckoned with in Taiwan motor sports scene.

Requirements
The GMS shops are frequently visited by rare and expensive sports cars, and as their popularity rise dramatically after winning the national PenBay tournament championship, the increasing number of visitors also cause several incidents of thefts. Their traditional DVR equipments are inaccessible off the premises, and the lack of image quality and coverage also motivated the owners to add Skywatch cloud cameras in addition to their DVRs and security services. The owners are primarily concerned about the followings:

1. Complete video coverage of the garage; event triggered recording and notifications at key entrances.

2. At least 2 weeks of HD recording on site.

3. HD live feed accessible from mobile phones.

Solution
Several Skywatch ProCams are placed at strategic locations of the garage to prevent theft. Motion-triggered video event are recorded on both the Skywatch cloud and the on-board SD cards. In the mean time, a Synology NAS DS213 is used to store constant streams of HD video files. The owners use the iOS version of our Skywatch View App for remote monitoring.

Testimonial
"Skywatch's cloud-based recording solution helps us resolve the security concerns at the entrances and places in our shop. Skywatch mobile App enables us to look at the live feed of our garage and our race cars. The video files can be stored both locally and on the cloud, very versatile and highly recommended," said Albert Lee, GMS Motorsports.
