A J-Systems JPTH-13M Pan/Tilt head and PWM IP based PTZ controller were integrated into a panoramic image capture application at the Port of Olympia's Swantown Marina.

The Pan/Tilt head and controller have run continuously for about 11-months and continue to op erate. Based upon calculations, the Pan/Tilt head completes 12,240 movements per day in all types of weather; 24-hours per day. That equates to 4.5 million movements per year demonstrating the outstanding reliability of this pan/tilt head and controller.

The panorama is made up of 5 rows of 35 images per row taken over a 20-minute period. The images were captured using an HD IP camera and when fully stitched together using special software. The final image can be displayed at various “zoom-able” resolutions resulting in a remarkably high resolution “zoom-able” image which is quite eye-popping to say the least.
