Ideal Innovations(I3), a veteran-owned firm specializing in biometrics, forensics and technical services, has been awarded a contract by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)'s Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM) to provide highly-specialized fingerprint analysis in support of OBIM's Biometric Support Center (BSC). The contract has a potential value of $58.9 million and was awarded under I3's GSA Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) Federal Supply Schedule.

The BSC provides fingerprint identification services when the automated matching capabilities of DHS's central repository cannot determine if two sets of fingerprints match. In addition, the BSC provides latent print identification and biometric watch-list enrollment services to DHS and other Government agencies.

The I3 team is recognized as an industry leader for biometric examination services including expert fingerprint identification, latent print identification comparisons and biometric data enrollment services, with eight years of experience supporting US Government and international customers.

“Our goal is to contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of current operations and future initiatives at the BSC by delivering the best combination of institutional knowledge and biometrics expertise,” said Bob Kocher, President and CEO. “We are confident that with our team, the BSC will be assured of its ability to meet workload demands and accomplish its critical National Security mission.”
