ImmerVision named Walter Wallace as VP of their Video Surveillance Applications business unit. With more than 22 years of combined experience in leading sales, channel management, business development, strategic partnerships, procurement process and joint ventures, Wallace will run the video surveillance application business and report to the Chief Commercial Officer, Alessandro Gasparini.

Walter was previously VP of Business Development for Chinasoft International, where he led a globally distributed team. Before that, he was the Executive VP of Sales of MCS Fire & Security and Strategic Sales Manager for GE Security. He earned his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz Graduate School of Business and his BS in Electrical Engineering from Point Park University.

“During my time at MCS Fire & Security, I saw ImmerVision Enables as the 360-degree video standard in the same respect as H.264 is the standard for video compression in the security industry for cameras and video management systems,” said Wallace. “This is a very exciting time for the company and the industry, and I'm very happy to be part of it.”

“For the past seven years, we have seen the growing role of 360-degree in video surveillance and the adoption of panomorph lenses as the super wide-angle optical technology that overcomes the challenges of image quality, performance and compatibility,” said Gasparini. “Walter and his global team will work with integrators, consultants, lens manufacturers, camera vendors and software developers, to increase the value of video surveillance for the end-user.”
