More than a dozen Compro IP60 megapixel IP cameras have been installed at a restaurant chain in Ecuador. This Ecuadorian restaurant chain has five restaurants located outside Quito, the capital city of Ecuador, serving fresh local foods to its customers. The chain has experienced steady growth in business in recent years, giving rise to a need to install a new surveillance system that can ensure the security of the restaurants as well as its diners.
With a priority to secure the inside of restaurants where incidents of theft had occurred before, the chain owner turned to Expertatel, a local security system installer that has a distribution partnership with Compro in Ecuador. Expertatel began by engaging in a thorough discussion with the chain owner, which eventually led to a decision to adopt Compro megapixel cameras for the restaurant security project.
The fact that Compro IP60 can deliver quality HD video at a reasonable cost was part of the rationale behind such a decision. The owner’s five restaurants each had three Compro cameras installed at key areas inside the restaurant to provide a visual deterrent to potential theft, robbery and related crimes.
The chain owner uses his computer to centrally monitor and record video from the cameras deployed at his five restaurants. Through a user-friendly administration interface available on Compro cameras, the owner is able to check on all 5 restaurants at once. Furthermore, as these Compro cameras allow the owner to see every restaurant’s activity in clear HD video on his computer without physically being there, now the chain owner does not make as many unnecessary trips to his restaurants as he used to.
