With a staff of 200, Air Maintenance Estonia (AME) is an aircraft maintenance and repair organization, dedicated to keeping its customers' aircraft in top shape throughout flights. It has been in business since 1995.

The Tallinn Airport office is equipped with modern communications gear, but what was missing was an automatic time and attendance system. Previously, everything was based on pure trust and a lot of paperwork, but as the company grows, it started to look for innovative ways to upgrade and automate the system for greater convenience and easier administration.

Energiatehnika, FingerTec's partner in Estonia, offered the Face ID 2 system that has dual-verification modes of facial recognition and fingerprint. The new algorithm ensures a fast and accurate process of enrollment and verification. The staff now no longer needs to record entries/exits manually, as all are collected by the management platform that is bundled with every reader.

AME values the dedicated hours that its workers put in working on airplanes and installed four units. Now, even if the engineers' or technicians' hands are full or greasy from maintenance work, all they have to do is stand in front of a unit – the contactless solution goes a long way in applications such as this one.

“Nobody gets richer by signing checks for services they don't understand. FingerTec products offer a huge amount of valuable data to better understand and pay for workers' services,” said Marketing Specialist of Energiatehnika.
