Radwin, the global provider of Backhaul and Broadband Wireless solutions, announced that the government of Gabon deployed the Radwin 5000 Point-to-Multipoint & Radwin 2000 Point-to-Point 3.5 GHz and 5 GHz systems to secure the AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. Magal, a leading international provider of security, safety and site management solutions, was prime contractor for the project.
Radwin's Point-to-Multipoint and Point-to-Point systems were used to transmit video in high-resolution from the cameras installed in the football grounds, the stadium and Olympic village back to the Championship Games' Command Center. The real-time, high-quality footage enabled security personnel to detect and respond to unfolding events and potential threats at a moment's notice.
“Radwin is proud to have been chosen as the solution-of-choice for the AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES, one of the most prestigious sports events in Africa,” said Rami Bar, Radwin GM EMEA. “Radwin's systems are built to handle the needs of mission-critical security and surveillance projects, delivering actionable surveillance information with the highest image quality.”
