The IMAX movie hall established in Ufa's Iskra multiplex is Russia's first digital movie theater that meets all the IMAX standards. The movie hall boasts a screen over 12 meters high by over 21 meters wide and dual digital projectors that provide a picture of unique purity and intensity. So far, IMAX has opened over 400 movie halls in 40 countries. The Ufa hall is the region's largest in terms of seating capacity.

The installation company, Electronic Systems, was tasked with establishing a system to provide 24/7 video surveillance over the movie hall, lobby, and other premises as well as supervision of the cash units, the parking lot and adjacent areas. Archived videos were to be stored for at least 60 days and a permanent remote surveillance capability was to be provided.

Electronic Systems built a system including 3 video servers with the Axxon video management software onboard and 2 remote operator workstations. In all, 60 cameras were installed in the required premises and outdoors. Cashier operations supervision was provided with the POS suite supplemented by high resolution video cameras installed over the cash units and sound recording microphones.

The established system has proved helpful on numerous occasions of investigating staff fraud, resolving disputes with customers, and sorting out vehicle accidents that occurred on the parking lot.
