Genetec, a provider of physical security and IP security solutions, announced that Bill Nash has joined Genetec in the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Nash will augment Genetec's existing executive team with his experience in mentoring high-tech companies and he will help formulate policies and procedures needed to manage the growth Genetec is anticipating for the coming years.
With many years of operational and management expertise, Nash, a chartered administrator, comes to Genetec with a record of driving operational results for various companies. Prior to joining Genetec, Nash was the COO of Eicon Technology where he was instrumental in growing the company from 4 to 750 employees with revenues of US$175 million. He subsequently worked for several technology companies and served on the Board of Directors for the Société d'assurance automobile du Québec, Quebec's government-operated automobile insurance agency. During his tenure, the board oversaw the financial and operational restructuring of the corporation.
