Securitas Acquires Thailand Security Services Provider ESC and SSA Guarding Company

Securitas acquired the security services company ESC and SSA Guarding Company in Thailand. Enterprise value is estimated to more than US$4 million.

ESC and SSA Guarding Company has annual sales of more than $5 million and approximately 1,400 employees. The company is focused on guarding and has operations throughout Thailand.

Thailand has a large, fragmented guarding industry with manned guarding seen as the principal part in safety and security.

In April 2009, Securitas established operations in Thailand and has about 400 employees and a growing operation, mainly in the area of Bangkok. With this acquisition, Securitas will strengthen its operations in Thailand both in terms of customer base and national coverage.
