AuthenTec Appoints New VP of Worldwide Sales

AuthenTec, a provider of smart fingerprint sensors and solutions, has appointed Scott Deutsch as VP of worldwide sales.


Deutsch will oversee AuthenTec's global sales organization and lead the company's market expansion and ongoing collaboration with the original equipment manufacturers through the sale of AuthenTec smart sensors, software and solutions.


He was previously VP of worldwide sales at Alereon, a provider of Ultra Wideband (UWB) WiMedia solutions. Prior to Alereon, Mr Deutsch was VP of sales and marketing for SanDisk's OEM consumer products division. Mr Deutsch was previously director of sales for the western U.S. with MMC Networks. Before joining MMC Networks, he spent eight years at Cypress Semiconductor in various sales and management roles.
