HavenLock today announced the appointment of Jason Lutz as Senior Vice President of Sales and Channel, the latest addition to a leadership team the company is building out as it scales toward the national rollout of its Haven Gen4 platform. Lutz brings more than three decades of security-industry leadership to the role, and will direct Haven's sales strategy, channel development, and partner engagement as the company builds out its national dealer network.
The appointment comes as Haven scales from launch into national distribution, a phase that depends on the strength of its dealer and integrator relationships as much as its product. Lutz will work directly with distributors, dealers, and systems integrators to build the channel programs and partner support Haven needs to grow, reporting to CCO, John Heller.
Lutz's arrival is the latest in a series of moves Haven has made this year to strengthen its leadership bench and channel infrastructure ahead of Gen4's national rollout — part of a broader build-out the company plans to detail further in the weeks ahead. For Haven, the hire is as much a signal of where the company is headed as it is a personnel announcement.
Lutz began his security-industry career in 1992 in sales with a national security company in Houston, Texas, before relocating to Nashville, where he spent a decade owning and operating his own security company — experience that gave him firsthand insight into the needs of installers, dealers, and end users. In 2002, he joined Resideo (formerly Ademco/Honeywell) as District Manager for the Midwest region, and over a 24-year tenure held leadership roles in National Accounts and Industry Affairs, most recently serving as Director of the company's Brand Ambassador Program, where he helped develop the next generation of security sales professionals. He has advocated for the industry on Capitol Hill and served on the Electronic Security Association Board of Directors, the Security Industry Alarm Coalition Board of Directors, the Alarm Industry Communications Committee, and the Security Industry Association Executive Advisory Board, and currently chairs Mission 500, the industry's nonprofit supporting children and communities in need.
