The following changes are effective immediately:
  • Thomas Jensen has stepped down from his CEO position.
  • Jeppe Frandsen will be acting CEO, effective today, Monday 1st December 2025.
  • Seymour Liebman, Executive Vice President of Canon, will join our board as vice-chairman.

To further strengthen cohesion and collaboration across the organization, the board of directors has agreed to initiate a search for a successor for the position of Chief Executive Officer. As a result, Thom-as Jensen has stepped down from his role as CEO. The Vice-Chairman of the board since 2015, Jeppe Frandsen will be acting CEO effective today and consequently no longer be part of the board.

Jeppe Frandsen brings over 25 years of international leadership experience and has served on the board of Milestone for more than 10 years as Vice-Chairman of our board. With deep insight and proven expertise with Milestone, Jeppe will ensure we stay focused and execute our strategy.

Jeppe Frandsen, who will not be considered for the permanent CEO position, will collaborate closely with the board to oversee the search for our next CEO.

Jeppe Frandsen will during his tenure as interim CEO work closely with the leadership team to ensure continuity and accelerate momentum. Milestone is a world leader in our industry and has a solid foundation in our strategy, offerings and product roadmap.

We are also pleased to welcome Seymour Liebman, Executive Vice President of Canon, to our board. Seymour’s appointment, alongside Minoru Asada, Group Executive F&A, underscores Canon’s strong commitment to Milestone.

Thomas Jensen has during his five years leading Milestone succeeded in positioning Milestone as leader within the Responsible Technology, AI and EU data sovereignty agenda. We thank Thomas for his contributions and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

asmag has observed that the tenure of the outgoing CEO was notably marked by a significant turnover of long-serving, highly seasoned employees, who played pivotal roles in shaping the company’s identity and expertise. While employee turnover is a normal organizational dynamic and not inherently negative, the replacement of these experienced security veterans with individuals often coming from non-security backgrounds has raised questions about the company's strategic focus.

This shift has inevitably impacted how the market and long-time partners perceive Milestone Systems’ foundational expertise and commitment to its core security domain. Moving forward, it will be particularly interesting to observe the next phase of leadership, specifically whether the company appoints a successor with deep roots in the security industry or elects to bring in another outsider.
