Quantum, a leading expert in scale-out tiered storage, archive and data protection popular for security and surveillance installations, just completed their fiscal year 2018 partner kick-off colloquially known as “PKO.”

Quantum brought to Chiang Mai, Thailand more than 225 individuals from 100 plus Quantum Alliance resellers and Quantum Advantage Technology partners to learn more about Quantum's initiatives for year ahead and to participate in subject-matter workshops.

This year's event was notable in three ways according to Jim Simon, Senior Director of Marketing, Asia-Pacific. “In its fourth year, the FY2018 PKO set new records for participation and participant satisfaction. In a post-event survey, participants scored the event 4.8 on a 5-point scale.”

Simon continued, “In addition, we set new records for participation from our resellers and technology partners from the security and surveillance industry. Some of our Quantum Advantage Technology Partner sponsors included Arecont Vision, Axis Communications, Innodep, Ipsotek, Milestone Systems, P2 Wireless, Qognify, and Uniview.”

Quantum's data management platform and tiered storage approach provide a unique combination of high performance, low-cost capacity and easy access that enables security and law enforcement professionals to address the challenges created by more cameras, higher resolutions, and increasingly sophisticated analytics.

Participants heard from the deputy governor of Chiang Mai who opened the event with a message about the importance of Chiang Mai's safe city initiative and the growing need for data storage.

Simon added, “We truly appreciate the investment that our resellers and technology partners made to join us in Chiang Mai and we look forward to supporting them in the fiscal year ahead so that they can solve their customers' most challenging security and surveillance needs.”
