New voters in Allahabad, India will get electronic photo identity card (EPIC) at doorsteps from March 25. The district election officials would start distributing EPICs from Monday onwards till March 28.
The deputy district election officer said that new voters, who have submitted their form 6 to get their names enrolled in the electoral list in November and December, would get EPICs. Those who have submitted form 6 forms after December would get EPICs later.
Around 17,818 EPIC would be distributed in Phaphamau, 12,716 and 19,681 in Soraon and Phulpur respectively. Besides, 20,636 EPICs would be distributed in Pratappur and 18,702 in Handia.
As many as 14,581, 14,957 and 12,281 EPICs would be distributed in Meja, Karchana and Koraon areas. In city areas, 18,288, 18,632 and 20,288 EPICs would be distributed in City West, City North, and City South assembly segments.
