A water theme park for Philippine Clark Freeport

A group of Taiwanese investors led BB International Leisure and Resort Development to develop a US$58-million (Peso 2.5 billion) water theme park that will span across 120 hectares of property along the rolling hills of Clark Freeport.

The theme park is envisioned to be on par with Disneyland in Hong Kong, Universal Studios in Singapore and Lego Land in Malaysia, according to Bong Alvaro, President of BB, in a statement released by Clark Development Corporation. Alvaro said the theme park is expected to be completed in the next three years, as a joint project with Eaglesky Technology Amusement and Gaming and Central Summit International, all owned and operated by Taiwanese investors Jack Yam and Tony Wang. Their other investment in Clark Freeport is Hotel Midori Clark, poised to be the first five-star hotel worth $46 million.

This project is also expected to spur local development, employment and growth around Clark Freeport by implementing programs that will help tribal communities at Sitio Haduan and other parts of the Clark subzone.
