The global market for physical security equipment and services was worth a massive US$110 billion in 2012, with the Americas accounting for more than 40% of the overall market, according to the latest research from IMS Research (an IHS company).
Asia was next with $33 billion, followed by the collective EMEA region with $29 billion. Strong growth is predicted in all the markets for the next few years, with expected revenue to reach $170 billion by 2017.
