The entire Simple Home Automated Control product line has been built using the Internet of Things (IoT) platform made by Ayla Networks. The products include Wi-Fi-based security cameras and alarms, motion and window sensors, smart LED light bulbs, doorbells, and smart plugs with energy monitoring capabilities.
All the Simple Home products live up to their name, enabling homeowners to get up and running in a couple of minutes, controlling all their Simple Home IoT devices using a single mobile app—and without needing a central hub, said Rod McLane, senior director of marketing for Ayla Networks.
“The smart home is emerging as one of the most active markets for the IoT, and Simple Home is leading the way with its extensive lineup of plug-and-play smart home products that are radically simple to deploy and use,” McLane said.
The Simple Home products use a home’s existing Wi-Fi network, saving users time, hassle and the expense of purchasing additional networking hubs. The easy-to-install Simple Home products can all be controlled by a single Simple Home mobile app—designed using Ayla’s Agile Mobile Application Platform (AMAP)—which can be downloaded for free onto multiple mobile devices. The only things customers purchase are the devices themselves; Simple Home charges nothing for the app, usage fees or monthly subscription costs.
