Home automation enabler URC has announced the release of the Amazon Alexa Smart Home Skill integration for MX HomePro, a cloud-based smart home control system, in the U.S. market.
This integration enables a wide range of control possibilities with the Amazon Echo, Echo Dot and Amazon Fire TV, allowing homeowners to utilize basic voice commands to execute programmed macros.
This new integration is designed to elevate the smart home control experience for new and existing voice control technology users. With simple, intuitive commands, homeowners can control a wide variety of compatible smart home devices for entertainment, lighting, locks and Z-Wave products all in one system.
This integration works by using Alexa Smart Home Skills. The URC MX HomePro Alexa Integration Guide, available on the URC Control Room dealer-only site and on the MX HomePro Editor software, explains how to incorporate Amazon Alexa control into an MX HomePro installation. Alexa integration must be completed by a URC systems integrator.
In addition to an ergonomic URC Remote Control and compact Smart Hub, the MX HomePro Mobile App delivers on-the-go control via smartphone and tablet. Simple programming allows installers and users to get started quickly.
And the MX HomePro Editor helps dealers maintain customers’ systems from anywhere with web access, without rolling a truck. The cloud-based Editor software offers convenient programming via PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet.
