Zaplox is announcing that the company has entered a partner agreement with Protel Hotelsoftware. Protel is a leading global supplier of business systems for hotels (property management systems). The partner agreement implies that Zaplox’ solutions are integrated to Protel’s app and that Protel’s global distribution network consisting of about 50 distributors, will promote and sell the Zaplox solutions to about 14,000 hotel customers with about 1,4 million hotel rooms. The partner agreement continues without any time limitation and does not constitute any guarantee of revenue.
Protel, based in Germany, is represented worldwide with a close network of partners in over 90 countries. Over 14,000 hotels consume Protel’s solutions. The partnership means that Protel will be able to offer Zaplox’ mobile guest journey as an integrated solution to its 14,000 hotels. Protel’s affiliated hotels with approximately 1,4 million rooms will be able to offer guests mobile keys, mobile check in and mobile check out. Zaplox delivers its Software Development Kit which will be integrated in Portel’s app. Zaplox is responsible for the implementation to the new hotels. In addition Zaplox will also be able to deliver a solution with Zaplox Mobile Kiosk, which is an alternative solutions for hotels to offer mobile check in and mobile check out with either key cards or mobile keys at arrival.

Mobile check in, mobile keys and mobile check out is all central parts in a mobile guest journey. Today about 50% of all hotel guests book their rooms using the mobile phone and it is a natural step for the guest to continue using the mobile to check in, open the door with the key in the mobile and to check out and pay their hotel stay.
