IFSEC International is back with more advanced solutions in security and beyond. This year it will showcase smart solutions across integrated security systems, home automation and smart commercial buildings while offering home automation training away from the show floor.

Of course, all this is related to the broader concept of Internet of Things (IoT). IoT, today, has become an all-pervasive technological development that can no longer be ignored. It has become an integral part of various technological solutions for home and commercial buildings. The facility to connect, communicate with, and remotely manage a large number of networked, automated devices via the internet is now inescapable, from the factory floor to the hospital operating room to the residential basement.
IoT, then, will be a primary focus of IFSEC 2017. As part of this, various smart technologies, ranging from smart underwear to fully connected security systems will be featured at the show. Visitors will be able to test and try the devices, talk to the manufacturers as well as get a thorough overview of what it takes to implement such solutions in the real world.

Integrated Security section

On a related note, the show will also have an Integrated Security section, which is a purpose built area where visitors will be able to see how systems are integrated so that each product doesn’t work in isolation.
Today, more and more security manufacturers are looking towards providing solutions instead of standalone products. Hence we see companies focusing on specific verticals like retail and transportation and coming up with tailored solutions for them. Simply put, these solutions are an integration of devices done with a clear understanding of the specific requirements of the vertical.

Installer World

IFSEC 2017 will also have a dedicated area where installers, engineers and integrators can find the perfect product solutions for their businesses, get advice on recruitment and retention, and catch up with colleagues or old friends over a beer.
It is imperative that integrators keep themselves up-to-date with the latest developments in the security industry. Installer World gives the visitor an opportunity to test over 10,000 of the latest products from leading suppliers, receive free training and shop for new tools and gadgets as well as grab a beer with clients, suppliers and industry recruiters.

CEDIA Home Automation Training

Speaking of training, the show offers an opportunity for learning about the smart home industry. IFSEC joins hands with CEDIA – the international trade association for the smart home industry – to offer training sessions for installers, integrators and engineers.
The training aims to provide the participants a chance to gain a deeper understanding of fully integrated smart home solutions and they can provide a significant complement to a security system.
