Walmart, a large-scale retailer, realized early on the vulnerability of their global supply chain and wanted to ensure the integrity of their goods in transit as well as the safety of their staff.

To improve their total logistics flow, the company implemented a global supply chain security program that is aimed at identifying and allowing for quick responses against physical threats and information issues detected.

As part of their risk control strategies, they combined physical, digital, and manual security for comprehensive security. The use of technology such as RFID, LPT, and video analytics, combined with manpower in the form of on-site guard services, allowed Walmart to achieve its advanced security concept that provides the staff important information on where, who, when, how, and what things are happening; thus, providing the company with complete security coverage.
