Philippine security market full of opportunity

The Philippine security market is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, according to Angel Jimas, Country Sales Manager of the Philippines at Merit LILIN. Currently, verticals such as gaming, hospitality, and high-end residential are driving security growth in the country.

While still in the learning stages, security education in the Philippines is increasing, resulting in more opportunities.

Although security in the Philippines is still considered an added expense versus a long-term investment, this mindset is slowly changing, according to Jimas.

In terms of IP, a lack of good infrastructure has made IP uptake difficult. As a result, HD-over-coaxial solutions are believed to have a strong market in the region, particularly in the middle markets and in residential.
