S2 Partners with Blackboard Transact For Education Security

S2 Security announced a strategic technology partnership that will make S2's browser-based security management systems (SMS) available to Blackboard Transact's (BT) education customers, including college, university and K-12 institutions. Under the agreement, BT will be incorporating S2 SMS and enterprise version products into it's security product suite this month.

“Partnering with S2 will give our clients who have more complex security requirements even more options when reviewing security solutions from BT,” said David Marr, President of BT.

S2's integrated access control and VMS are used in K-12, school districts, and higher education applications. The products are flexible, scalable systems that employ a user interface that can be tailored to meet the requirements of novice operators and dedicated, expert security teams. Because S2 systems can be operated by authorized users via network connection, emergency requirements, such as total facility lockdowns, can be activated instantly either on location or remotely through a wireless device.

S2's products are popular in education because of its scalability and ease of use, said John Moss, CEO of S2. Collaboration with BT creates new opportunities in the education sector for S2.
