Avigilon, a provider for HD and megapixel video surveillance solutions, announced that the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Gaming Agency, which oversees operations at The Point Casino (TPC) in Kingston, Washington, has deployed the Avigilon HD surveillance system to boost onsite security, and protect against theft and fraud while meeting stringent tribal, state, and federal regulations. Leveraging the image quality and advanced search and playback capabilities of the Avigilon HD system, users can investigate incidents with much greater accuracy and speed. TPC was able to boost their incident resolution rate to 98 percent.

“With the zooming capabilities, image clarity, and advanced search and playback features of the Avigilon control center software, we can capture even the smallest detail to help protect guests, secure assets, and meet strict industry requirements,” said Don Purser, Operations Manager at the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Gaming Agency. “The Avigilon HD surveillance system also easily integrates with our other security systems to help expedite response times and improve our investigations.”

Mandated by the Washington State Gambling Commission (WSGC) and National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) to ensure that all games and cash-handling areas are monitored at all times, the Tribal Gaming Agency turned to SSI, a provider of surveillance system design, installation, and service, to design an end-to-end surveillance system at TPC that would meet its needs and stay within budget. The agency installed Avigilon HD 2-MP cameras to cover game tables, slot machines, the cashier cage, vault, soft count room, and main doors and installed 46 Avigilon analog video encoders to improve the performance of its existing analog-based cameras which monitor the employee offices, cafeteria, and parking lot. The system is managed using the Avigilon control center network NVMS with HD stream management technology and is monitored live around-the-clock from the control center located in a separate building. The Tribal Gaming Agency uses Avigilon NVRs to store up to 21 days of continuous video footage – a vast improvement over other systems, which could not meet the casino's storage and bandwidth requirements.

By deploying the Avigilon high-definition surveillance system, the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Gaming Agency can achieve superior image quality and broad coverage with fewer cameras, dramatically lowering investment costs. The Avigilon HD surveillance system integrates with other security systems such as access control and panic alarms for greater efficiencies and better overall security. With improved surveillance on site, TPC can provide a safer and more enjoyable experience for existing guests and more effectively attract new customers.

“By deploying the Avigilon HD surveillance system, the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribal Gaming Agency can meet stringent regulatory requirements with a reliable and user-friendly solution with maximum resolution,” said Keith Marett, VP of Marketing and Communications at Avigilon. “As an end-to-end surveillance solution that requires fewer cameras, Avigilon also helps the agency achieve superior coverage of key areas at The Point Casino while using fewer cameras.”
