Frost & Sullivan believes that there will be continued growth in the EAS market, during the forecast period of 2011 to 2016. The growth of the EAS market will be driven by the growth of the retail markets in the emerging countries in the region. The EAS market is dominated by two MNCs: Checkpoint Systems and Tyco Retail Solutions. Smaller market participants are emerging; this is likely to create stiff price competition among market participants. Entry barriers into the EAS market in the region are rather low due to product commoditization.
