Outdoor surveillance is getting a major security boost with Sony's launch of six new outdoor IR analog security cameras, fixed cameras and the Mini Dome Cameras. Featuring Sony's Adaptive IR capability and 700 TV lines of resolution, the new cameras capture clear, sharp images at night, making it easier to identify suspicious individuals.
A common problem in static IR cameras is that they offer only one level of illumination, causing a loss in image quality due to “white-out”, where the details of key identifying features such as people's faces, are lost. Sony's Adaptive IR solves this by automatically adjusting the LED power intensity depending on the object's distance from the camera, making a person's face or type of clothes they wear appear in vivid detail.
Each camera also delivers 700 TV lines of resolution, resulting in some of the best image quality available in an analog IR camera. Combined with Adaptive IR, the high resolution enables the Sony cameras to capture the highest quality images any time of the day.
