Product trends are equally bullish, with IP video expected to grow 20 to 40 percent, Tekkaya said. The tipping point for network video will be sometime in 2014 or 2015. Megapixel and integrated systems will increase in prominence, Cüycü said.
Deployment of IR imaging will increase as well. “Thermal cameras are mostly used in high-security places such as military applications and ports, but will gradually become more common as prices begin to decrease,” Oncel said.
In vertical markets, public projects such as city surveillance, public transportation, airports and seaports are expected to grow. In the private sector, residential projects will demand added security, while banks will continue to deploy popular ATM solutions, Kahramanoglu said. Security in Turkey is growing at a healthy pace. Based on country data, the security industry in Turkey could reach $1 billion in the next three years, Uzelli said.
