Milestone Systems and Infortrend Partner Up

Infortrend, the networked storage expert, and Milestone, a leader in open platform IP video management software, announced a partnership whereby Infortrend is a Milestone Solution Partner (MSP). Infortrend's ESVA and EonStor DS storage systems are compatible with Milestone software, and customers can be confident Infortrend systems operate seamlessly in video surveillance applications featuring Milestone solutions.

Infortrend systems offer high-performance data storage to meet the requirements of demanding application environments, and are extremely reliable to ensure high data availability. Supporting 3TB disk drives, the storage arrays offer large capacities ideal for video surveillance. Users can choose between SAN systems (Fibre Channel or iSCSI connectivity) or DAS systems (SAS connectivity) based on their own datacenter requirements.

In addition, the systems offer excellent scaling capabilities. Users can flexibly add expansion enclosures for extra capacity, or take advantage of the scale-out technology on ESVA systems, which enables linear scaling of capacity and performance by adding systems to an existing storage pool. With these capabilities, users can gradually expand capacities based on actual business needs and “pay as they grow”, without the need for large upfront investments.
