The STQC Directorate is an attached office of the Department of Information Technology, Government of India. The biometric devices certified by STQC ensure that these devices are reliable, safe, secure and meet the specifications of Unique Identification Authority of India.

The iris camera received a zero false match rate and zero false non match rate never previously achieved before in any iris camera during the recently conducted independent testing by International Biometrics Group USA, biometric research lab.
