Morpho Detection Awarded UK Transportation Detection System Contact

Morpho Detection, part of Morpho, Safran group's security business, announced that the United Kingdom Department for Transport (DfT) has approved the trace detection system for use in U.K. transportation security applications. The UK approval paves the way for more countries to use the technology to help protect security interests.

The system, Morpho Detection's latest trace explosives detection solution, was designed for use in checked baggage, passenger and cargo screening.

The solution delivers fast detection in a desktop package. It is the first trace system to simultaneously detect positive and negative ions using a single detector, thereby helping to reduce operational cost by reducing the threat of mechanical failure that is commonplace in two-detector systems.
