TransTech Systems, a subsidiary of Visualant, and a provider of identification solutions have been awarded a renewal of the maintenance contract for specified Staff Identification Card Systems (“SICS”) for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (“CDCR”).
TransTech provides a wide variety of extended warranty and out-of-warranty service programs. These programs cover ID card printers and credential issuing systems. The onsite service and maintenance programs are also provided in cooperation and collaboration with TransTech's local and regional channel partners.
“We were originally requested to assist CDCR in implementing the SICS systems when the contractor who had won the original bid filed bankruptcy amid project and was unable to complete it,” said Jim Gingo, President of TransTech Systems. “The fact that CDCR has continued to use our service packages for multiple years and several generations of equipment is a testimony to the state's confidence in our service abilities.”
