How TRASSIR Video Management System helped secure various facilities in Turkey

A video management system (VMS) orchestrates a surveillance workflow by integrating with cameras, recording systems, storage infrastructure and analytics software, mainly by providing a single interface for video surveillance management. With TRASSIR VMS, it’s easy to get convenient remote access using desktop client and not to worry about what is happening with the business while you are away.  You can count that you have user-friendly and adaptive interface, customizable for tasks configuring devices, cameras and video recorders in the TRASSIR interface. Also, you’ll have 24/7 archive storage in accordance with the Ministry of Internal Affairs Order No. 1092: all the events will be recorded and saved thanks to unique three-ring archive recording technology: with certain settings, TRASSIR allows to record a main video stream, preferred stream and sub stream to HDD. If there are many HDDs in the system, TRASSIR will alternate HDDs depending on the load on each. Main Stream is a high-quality video data used for detailed viewing of the video signal coming from the camera. Preferred stream are special local channels for which different archive depth of the main stream is set. Sub stream is video data of low quality used in cases when signals from a significant number of cameras need to be displayed on the screen at the same time. You can also search for some particular event, thus, it’s hardly possible for some information or recordings to get lost, as it all gets saved on simultaneous video stream recording to 1-4 hard disks. Archive synchronization technology allows to synchronize channel archives from a single recorder. This type of unloading can be carried out according to a set schedule, which allows to organize a backup of the video archive from a remote server.

The person in charge will hardly miss any push notifications, as you can configure the system to get them in the most convenient way: by email, Telegram, mobile app or in the desktop interface. 

TRASSIR VMS is suitable for any video surveillance system from 1 camera to 175 thousand, and it has already been used in many projects in Turkey. We would like to share with you some examples of projects and facilities where TRASSIR VMS has been implemented and is successfully being used till today. We’ll demonstrate several examples of real cases where TRASSIR was able to help resolve some issues in a particular facility. 

TRASSIR team has already gained good consumer recognition in Turkish region. Our primary objective in Turkey is to establish a strong and enduring presence. We have a lot of successful projects in the industrial sector there, such as Mata Automotive Factory, Cengiz Makina Factory in Tuzla, Faurecia Poliplex Automotive Factory, Edirne Industrial Zone and others. One great example is Mata Automotive Factory, a high-quality supplier of real wood and carbon fiber decorative components worldwide. Located in Tuzla, Istanbul, the manufacturing facilities were equipped with the alarm warning installation in 2023, and TRASSIR VMS was integrated with already existing cameras. One of the reasons the client has chosen us, is that TRASSIR tries to optimize the use of the client's existing IOS to run TRASSIR solutions on cameras of any brand.  

“We are very flexible in our approach towards integration with existing environments. We do not force our clients to purchase any sort of “bundles” or replace their existing cameras. Instead, we provide native connectivity with the vast majority of cameras on the market along with an SDK and high-level scripting tool,” says our Head of International Sales. The task was to ensure safe operation within the steel processing shops and maintaining the perimeter security and that is exactly what has been achieved in Mata Automotive Factory project.

TRASSIR solutions are already implemented in a lot of residential complexes in Turkish region, such as DAP YAPI, Istanbul Acıbadem Kosuyolu Residence, Tema Istanbul, INNOVIA 2 and 3, Essenora and others. TRASSIR has equipped a vast area of 95,000 m of INNOVIA 3 residential complex located in Esenyurt with VMS and video analytics modules to provide better management and security for the residents. The residential complex had some cases of property damage and incidents of unauthorized entry into restricted areas. So, it became clear that the security needed an upgrade involving the installation of a proper video surveillance system to prevent any unauthorized entry of vehicles or people. After the TRASSIR VMS installation, thanks to timely notifications and alarms throughout the site, now protected facility has become the most unattractive place for robbers. The collected evidence base makes it much easier to find offenders and perpetrators of property damage. Now if an incident occurs, there is a deep archive that stores the evidence base for the investigation of criminal or controversial situations and the video footage can be shared with police, reducing the reliance on eyewitnesses. 

The 102,000-square-meter Haliç Congress Center, the only center of its kind in Istanbul, also relied on TRASSIR VMS to ensure safety and security there. With 16,000 square meters of outdoor space, seating capacity ranging from 219 to 3,004, five state-of-the-art auditoriums, connecting foyer and gallery areas totaling 9,172 square meters, it all required a good CCTV system in place. The cameras were already installed there, and that is one of the reasons why the customer has chosen TRASSIR, as we provided a smooth integration with existing environment. TRASSIR modules were integrated into the existing ones at Haliç Congress Center and the project was finished in 2022. As TRASSIR VMS works with all major operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, Astra Linux, IOS or Android, it makes it really easy to search, review and retrieve video recordings. The installation has helped to ensure total control of the area and absolute safety for residents, visitors and property. The whole system itself is scalable and automatically monitors the health of system components, logs, user actions and has some self-diagnostic capacity of malfunctions for prompt fixing.
