Secutech 2023 Day 2: Party on at ‘AI Clubhouse,’ International Lounge

Secutech 2023 Day 2: Party on at ‘AI Clubhouse,’ International Lounge
AI Clubhouse presents exhibitors whose AI offerings address various end user pain points and help them achieve further efficiency.
Secutech is currently being held at Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1, providing a complete, comprehensive and one-of-a-kind platform for security players to source from best-of-breed Taiwan manufacturers.

This year a total of 260 Taiwan and international companies are exhibiting, a growth from 2022. The companies are running 511 booths across a space of 15,120 square meters at the fairground. The booths are spread across several major themed pavilions, including Mobility, Fire and Safety, AI Clubhouse, Smart Buildings and Living, Smart Factory and Industrial Safety, and 5G.

Of note, the AI Clubhouse features companies showcasing various advanced, cutting-edge AI solutions. Indeed, AI has become a mainstay in security. And, with hardware becoming more powerful and the algorithms more advanced, AI in security and IoT is set to grow in the years to come. With that in mind, AI Clubhouse presents exhibitors whose AI offerings address various end user pain points and help them achieve further efficiency.

Harbor Technology Solutions for example exhibits their AI-enabled vibration sensor with applications mostly in factory settings. The sensor can detect vibration abnormalities in factory equipment and predict an impending failure, allowing the operator to deal with the situation accordingly. Foresight Technology, meanwhile, has AI for Industrial 4.0 applications and can instantly detect defects on prototypes and stop the production from proceeding further.

Further, having an open platform is key to AI development. In this regard, Nuuo showcases their VMS platform that integrates various AI solutions, an example being one developed by Solomon, whose AI can convert meter reading images into digital data. Once an abnormality occurs, the operator can be alerted of the situation via the VMS.

International Lounge

Overseas buyers are a highlight of this year’s show. With COVID waning, Taiwan has reopened its borders and lifted the mandatory quarantine policy. This resulted in a surge of foreign/local buyers, over 15,000, coming to the show. The top visitor countries are Japan, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore, India, Korea, HongKong/China, Malaysia and Vietnam.

To accommodate the foreign buyers, the organizer has set up an International Lounge. Each day two happy hour sessions are held, giving visitors a change to relax, meet up with people and get a chance to walk away with certain prizes: asmag.com, sponsor of the happy hour, has prepared various games, with prizes ranging from Starbucks vouchers to whiskies for the guests to remember their visit by.

Secutech, organized by Messe Frankfurt, is held from Apr. 26-28 at the Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 in Taipei.
