1. Reason for establishment of the subsidiary
Optex seeks to expand its businesses related to the Security Sensor segment and Automatic Door Sensor segment in the Southeast Asia region, and decided to establish a subsidiary in Bangkok, Thailand. The region is at the beginning of a transition from manned security to automated security systems resulting from a sharp rise in personnel expenses and manpower shortages in the security industry, and Optex seeks to accelerate and expand its business through the sale of its sensor systems and technical support for automated security systems. In the future, Optex will work to grow and develop the subsidiary as a Southeast Asian base for entering businesses in areas other than Security Sensor and Automatic Door Sensor segments and for opening new markets.
