The signing of the agreement is part of the meeting ‘A Trusted Dialogue; the Port of Rotterdam, a Trusted Gateway to Europe, which is organised by the city of Rotterdam and targeting the subject of Cyber Resilience.

SEACRES is an acronym for ‘South East Asian Cyber Resilience'. The cluster consists of InfoSecure, Fox-IT, Palantir, Coblue and the Delft University of Technology representing also the University of Leiden and the Erasmus University Rotterdam under the name LDE Center Safety & Security. Cooperating partners are the city of Rotterdam, the Hague Security Delta (HSD) and the Ministry of Security and Justice. Coordinator for PIB SEACRES in Singapore is TNO.

SEACRES represents three focus areas that will reinforce each other:

Knowledge development: extensive development and research possibilities within cyber security related universities and institutes. These are crucial in the development of long term concepts, aiming to improve operations and performance in the cyber domain.
Products & services: the cyber security specialists make integrated products and solutions for the cyber market, deploying advanced technologies that are combined with expertise they have in other knowledge areas.
Government to government cooperation: the government will, according to the strategy of the designated top sector High Tech Systems & Materials (HTSM), use this PIB to support and stimulate initiatives in Singapore with their Singaporean counterparts.
Henk Geveke, Managing Director Defence, Safety and Security at TNO states: ‘TNO is proud to enter the Singaporean cyber security market together with her cooperating partners. The PIB is a great instrument to do so.'

According to Peter Lokhorst, managing Director of the BeOne Development Group of which InfoSecure is part of, all companies and institutes participating in this initiative are experts in the field of cyber security. ‘Some of them are already successful in Singapore. By joining forces, this initiative will help to reinforce their position in the Singaporean market. Therewith trust and confidence in the expertise and the innovative capacity of the Dutch cyber security industry will also continue to increase. InfoSecure is proud to be part of this well-coordinated joint approach.'

As a first activity with regard to the PIB programme The Grand Executive Forum Asia 2014 will be organised. This conference is part of the World Cities Forum 2014 and will mark the start of the SEACRES activities in Singapore.
