Geeny, a German company founded by Telefónica, is integrating Develco Products’ white label IoT hardware with its IoT platform, allowing companies to develop and deploy smart solutions within 100 days.

The joint framework enables solution providers to build, deploy and operate consumer IoT applications, and targets businesses within the fields of smart care, pet care, smart fashion, lifestyle and fitness.

One of the key features of the joint framework, according to Develco Products, is that it speeds up the development process by a factor of 10. It means that solution providers can deliver ready-to-market products in 100 days, which reduces development costs and secures a fast return on investment.

The joint framework gives the user access to rich data, consumer insights and new technology. The consumer data helps companies understand how end-users are using IoT products, and which additional services the end-user might need.

Geeny provides a toolbox with plug-and-play elements for fast development and scalable deployment. Documentation and tutorials make it easy to get started on great IoT solutions, while the B2C app store gives access to Geeny end-user base. Combined with Develco Products’ ready-to-use hardware, the platform is flexible and easy to build any solution on.

“There will be billions of consumer IoT devices in use by 2020,” said Moritz Diekmann, Telefónica NEXT MD responsible for Geeny. “Yet the hyper-efficient IoT future, where our groceries order and deliver themselves into our refrigerators, and our speakers know our mood to play the right music, is years away,” he said.

Designed with the end-user in mind, Geeny supports businesses and innovators in their efforts to build intelligent consumer IoT solutions. The open ecosystem gives access to value added services and IoT components needed to build an IoT product or service from scratch.

With Geeny’s partner network, companies can find the right provider to partner up with. This way, solution providers can focus their attention on developing their core competencies.
