Arteco integration with Paxton access increases security and response time

Arteco integration with Paxton access increases security and response time
By integrating the Arteco Video Event Management Software (VEMS) with Paxton’s access control platform through Arteco Open Connector, users can combine video and access control events to gain new insights into potential risks or incidents.
As the risk landscape facing today’s society has evolved over the years, we’ve seen entrances and exits become a primary target and method of attack for intruders. Be it an educational facility, stadium or transportation hub — the perimeter and doors of a facility are critically important to the overall security of those inside, and these ingress and egress points must be safeguarded and monitored at all times.

While access control systems are critical to the success of this job, the platforms must also be able to provide security operators with the most relevant data should an event occur to ensure immediate and efficient response. Arteco’s newest integration with Paxton access control systems allows events to be configured to generate an alarm, giving operators the power to react promptly and focus on critical information.

Available as a plug-in for Arteco’s Video Event Management Software (VEMS), this collaboration enhances the security of enterprise organizations by enabling users to manage Paxton’s access control systems along with surveillance cameras, video analytics and any other existing security equipment all from one centralized interface. Paxton’s Net2 range devices are now manageable within Arteco NEXT through Arteco Open Connector, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly integration.

This combination assures that potential threats, such as a “door forced open” or “door open too long” alert, can be investigated instantly. Linking access control events to video and other security devices also allows operators to remotely verify the identify of an individual and open or close the doors. Embedded audio controls facilitate an even stronger identification, facilitating the communication of instructions and information.

With this surplus of data, it is crucial for operators to be able to monitor status and controls easily and simply, and Arteco’s integration with Paxton allows just that. Access points can be viewed directly via a map, providing a complete overview of the facility in real time.

No matter the size of the project — from small buildings to large enterprises with thousands of access points — this integration is customizable and flexible to meet a wide variety of security needs. With a quick and simple implementation, the solution is cost-effective and scalable to work with Arteco eMotion, Active and Extreme.

Today’s security threats can start from anywhere, making a cohesive and powerful access control and video management integration, such as Arteco VEMS and Paxton access control systems, essential to protecting people and assets.
