Siklu announced that its interference-free products implement scalable capacity to cost-effectively backhaul a vast range of video cameras, even the latest 4K HD models, with predicated, reliable performance.

Siklu Communication, the global market leader in millimeter-wave radios, announced that its interference-free products implement scalable capacity to cost-effectively backhaul a vast range of video cameras, even the latest 4K HD models, with predicated, reliable performance. Siklu’s mmWave family of 60, 70/80GHz palm-sized products extend camera cascading with diminished latency making them ideal for surveillance system connectivity.

Today’s new 4K cameras provide an increasingly better resolution. A prime example is the AXIS Q3709-PVE Network Camera, the first camera in a new series of multi-sensor fixed domes with panoramic overview from Axis Communications. Much alike Siklu’s palm-sized radios, it is outdoor-ready and discreetly blends into urban environments. With fantastic 30 fps in 3x4K or 20 fps in 33 MP resolutions, and a panoramic view of 1,800 covering impressively large areas, situational awareness vital in city surveillance applications is a given. However, the growing bandwidth demands of multi-sensor megapixel cameras operating in today’s dense wireless networks have taken their toll on connectivity requirements, which have snowballed in the past years.

Siklu’s cost-effective radios deliver diverse solutions and highly reliable wireless connectivity mechanisms for a range of distances and capacities, making them an excellent means to decrease video surveillance costs while enhancing security network performance. Forming an interference-free carrier grade backhaul network, the wireless radios ensure video feeds are flawlessly cascaded from cameras at multiple locations. The exceptionally low link delay achieved with Siklu’s millimeter wave products expedites viewing the feeds in real time.

“Capturing images is one part; getting them to every place they need to go is where Siklu comes into the frame. Siklu’s point-to-point wireless radios resourcefully deliver secure fiber-like wireless connectivity, and support predicted performance for today’s and tomorrow’s advanced 4K HD cameras,” Alex Doorduyn, Siklu’s Director of Business Development and Sales, Security andSurveillance.

“Our partner Siklu has clearly proven its excellent connectivity capabilities, seamlessly backhauling high volumes of video traffic in a number of projects with our advanced cameras and providing exceptional performance in a simplified manner to integrators and operators,” said Vince Ricco, Business Development Manager for the Technology Partner Program, Axis Communications.
