Vodafone Village, the new headquarters of Vodafone Italy, recently deployed vehicle access control system consisting of Nedap ALPR access readers and Honeywell integrated building management system to keep its three parking lots safe and convenient. Honeywell installed the system at the parking lots of the 16.56 acres (67,000 square meters) complex.

The advanced and futuristic Vodafone complex houses 3,000 employees and is one of the leading real estate investments of the group. The complex known for its unique architecture, eco-sustainability and technological characteristics required automatic and convenient vehicle access control.

Honeywell installed one ALPR access readers  at every entrance and exit lane. Using the Wiegand interface module from Nedap the readers are directly connected to Honeywell's integrated building management system. The application is part of vehicles and visitors access control at Vodafone buildings. The subsystem manages the access to the three parking lots with a total of 500 car spaces. When a vehicle license plate is introduced, the system creates the badge and the authorization which allows access to the car park.
