Zonoff, a connected home specialist, announced the addition of veteran technology executive Dave DiOrio as VP of Customer Programs. Previously COO of Quartics, a semiconductor company, DiOrio is a seasoned technology leader that will be responsible for driving innovative implementations of Zonoff's smart home technology solutions for customers and channel partners.

"With the rapid rise of smart devices coming to market and the expansion of broadband technologies, we are at a tipping point for the connected home space to really take off," said Mike Harris, Co-founder and CEO of Zonoff." DiOrio is a key addition as we aggressively grow our team, and we are excited to have him in a leadership role as we roll out the Zonoff software platform through our channel partners."

DiOrio brings deep leadership and technical experience to Zonoff's seasoned and growing team. Zonoff, which recently announced US$3.8 million in Series A funding, is on a mission to connect the Internet of Things to everyone. As the "brains" of the connected home, Zonoff's technology integrates a wide range of devices across a multitude of wireless protocols.

The software platform consists of home, cloud, and App software, which actively works behind the scenes with consumer electronic products from retail stores, service providers, device OEMs and other partners to deliver home automation, remote control, energy management, and safety monitoring solutions.

"I am excited to take on this new role at a time when the massive connected home market is poised to take off," said DiOrio,

Prior to Quantics, DiOrio served as VP and GM of the DTV Business Unit at Broadcom Corporation, where he was responsible for leading a 500 person engineering, marketing, sales and application team from initial revenue to profitability at over $200 million/year in revenues. Before that DiOrio was VP of Engineering at ATI Corporation where he drove technology development and innovation for the company's market leading DTV business unit.
