UK facility manager enhances office security while demonstrating capability on-site

Total facility management services provider OCS Group installed an IP-based surveillance system at its UK headquarters in south London, to create a safer environment and demonstrate its expertise in security solutions. At the site where approximately 300 employees are based, Axis Communications worked with OCS Security Solutions and its compliance services division to replace the legacy analog system.

“We wanted to show our clients our proficiency in installing leading edge surveillance systems, as well as to improve safety and security at our existing office environment,” said Howard Austin, Divisional Director of Specialized Services at OCS. “Axis truly understood what we wanted to achieve with our offices acting as a showcase for customers.” OCS selected a number of different Axis cameras, including static and fully functional, for both internal and external applications. According to Austin, OCS was aware that Axis megapixel cameras could provide better coverage and image quality compared to traditional analog cameras. The new system enables OCS to highlight its capabilities in delivering and managing the latest security solutions, and meet clients' surveillance objectives.

Furthermore, the company can illustrate it deploys the technology it recommends to its client base. The system also helps create a safer office environment for both clients and employees, and is easy to maintain for years to come. “It was a great opportunity to install this new IP-based surveillance system at OCS' head offices as it enables us to display our full capabilities and technologies to a range of organizations,” said Atul Rajput, Director for Northern Europe at Axis.
