BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir has become the latest end user to implement Veracity's video surveillance storage system.

Within 48 hours of receiving the first phone call, Veracity's support team had delivered to BAPS a new video surveillance storage system and configured the system to work with Genetec platform. The continual failure of the original RAID-based storage system to reliably record video images had led BAPS to find a new system that could address the problem, and reached out to Veracity's support team for a solution.

The temple's IT team were able to quickly and easily install 15 2TB Western Digital Caviar Green Disks into the video surveillance storage system and then immediately added it to the temple's network. Once visible on the network, Veracity's support team remotely installed Veracity's Video Mover onto the local server that housed Genetec platform. This plug-in, developed by Veracity, allows video surveillance storage system to serve as second-tier storage for Genetec platform by moving the data from local storage to Veracity system. As a result all data was moved to Veracity system E safely and the switch-over was completed within a day.

Scott Sereboff, CEO, Veracity USA explained: “The Mandir had an absolute requirement for 24/7 recording and reliable video management due to isolated but significant incidents of theft and vandalism. Our staff at Veracity moved rapidly over a weekend to replace the faulty system with Veracity's video surveillance storage system integrated with Genetec platform.”

Kaivalyamurti Swami, IT administrator at the temple complex, added that: “Veracity's video surveillance storage system was perhaps the only system that was capable of fulfilling our immediate need. With its remarkable ease of installation, no external cooling, low power consumption, virtually no management and seamless integration to Genetec platform, Veracity has given us precisely the storage system we need to manage this growing site.

“Veracity already has a strong reputation for rapid and effective support so I had every confidence that they would solve this potentially damaging problem.”
