Americans Protection1, Tom Raftery, VP of Corp Services & Purchasing Protection 1, the second-largest electronic security company in the United States, has appointed Tom Raftery as VP of Corporate Services and Purchasing. Reporting to Chief Financial Officer Dan Bresingham, Raftery will oversee purchasing and inventory management, vendor relations and pricing, as well as corporate services such as real estate, fleet management and travel.In addition, Raftery will play a key role in acquisition assimilation. Raftery has more than 30 years of experience in fleet management, supply chain management, distribution, operations, P&L, inventory, real estate and engineering. Having previously worked at companies such as SecurityLink and ADT, across both field operations and corporate leadership positions with an emphasis on customer service and process improvement, his experiences will tie in nicely with Protection 1’s profitability and growth strategies.

The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA), a global consortium of physical security providers focused on promoting the interoperability of IP-enabled devices, announced it has elected Larry Lien of Proximex as its new Chairman and Marine Drive of Honeywell as Vice Chairman.

As PSIA Chairman, Lien will work closely with the PSIA Board to develop strategies that maintain the organization's leadership position in the marketplace. Lien is currently VP of Product Management for Proximex, the leader in event and information management for both physical and logical security markets.

As Vice Chairman, Drive will help vendors define the business case and migration strategies needed to adopt and implement the PSIA integration standards.

Jennifer Pittman, South Central Regional Sales Manager

Samsung Techwin America announced that Jennifer Pittman has joined the company to fill the newly created position of South Central Regional Sales Manager. Her territory will include the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas.

In her role as South Central Regional Sales Manager, Ms. Pittman will work closely with the sales channel to bring Samsung Techwin's state of the art physical security solutions to end users and to increase market share in the region. Ms. Pittman's previous experience includes new business development with SecureNet, account management with ASG Security, and sales positions at The Resource Corp, a manufacturer's rep, and within ADT.
