With 15 years of experience in the security industry, Prisma Bytes is focused on providing high end security solutions to its customers in Malaysia and South East Asia. “What we do is we create solutions for the end user using state of the art and latest technology products from various manufacturers addressing the needs of the customer. We create solutions using various manufacturers’ products like Pelco, Verint, Fujifilm, Jaques, Secubest, KBC, Remsdaq, CCTVTECH and integrated through a central command and control platform. We work with various end users and security consultants and create a cost effective integrated security solutions for the customer,” says Shaji N.M., Chairman of Prisma Bytes.

With their extensive industry experience, Prisma Bytes is able to provide valuable know-how to various SI companies in the security segment. “Our various partners use our expertise to come up with an integrated design and we provide them with the products which will have some value adding through our in-house experts. Apart from supplying the products in a cost effective manner, we are also providing the service of integrating all these subsystems together through our command and control minimizing the work for the SI and achieving whatever the end user wants. Basically we are actually providing technical resources along with the competitive products and we are assisting all our SIs and customers to win projects in a win-win situation format.”

The company’s distribution model is one reason for Prisma’s success, particularly in the Middle East and Southeast Asian markets. Their CCTVTECH Video surveillance products are now accepted in South East Asia, India and the Middle East sector, recently even approved by the Dubai police. In Malaysia, where the company generally is more focused on providing solutions to various clients and SIs, in terms of distribution Prisma Bytes looks more toward communications, video surveillance, peripherals, ISMS, and perimeter products. “We are going for the fiber optic hardware distributions, we are going for the voice intercoms, then we are going for the perimeter intrusion detection,” Shaji says. “The reason is because in every project nowadays there is a perimeter system. Every apartment building has an intercom requirement. Every job there has a fiber optical requirement. So addiing this in to our distribution with some value adding is really helping us increasing our revenue.

As security awareness in Malaysia continues to grow, Prisma Bytes sees the country as a good potential market in the years to come. “A few years ago most of the projects didn’t have a specialty security consultant. Now you see most of the buildings and projects coming up here already have a specialty security consultant looking at the security aspect,” Shaji said. The increase in awareness will, according to Prisma Bytes, create more projects in the country in all major verticals including infrastructure, safe city, airports, and seaports.
