AX-SmartSearch is an application that, embedded in Axis cameras with storage on SD card or NAS, captures the motion data of the recorded sequences and stores them on the selected resource. These motion metadata provide users with the ability to perform VMD filters over the recorded images, speeding up the retrieval of the desired sequences by using the video management software Supervisor X or any third-party software through the integration API available for that purpose.
AX-SmartSearch General Description
AX-SmartSearch is an application to be embedded in Axis cameras with storage on SD card or NAS. An intelligent search engine that captures the motion data of the complete video images recorded by the camera and stores them in a database on the selected resource. These metadata, combined with the video images, provide user with a valuable tool to later perform intelligent VMD searches over the recordings from the video management software Supervisor X or from any third-party software, speeding up the retrieval of the desired sequences.
Functionality:
AX-Smart Search is licensed software that running fully embedded in a network camera AXIS captures the motion data of the images recorded by the camera.
The metadata acquired by AX-SmartSearch are recorded in the resource selected by the user, NAS or SD, and stored with the same date and time than the recorded images. In fact, the data also hold information on the number of days of storage of the video, so that synchronously are deleted when deleting images.
The motion data recorded by AX-SmartSearch are accessible using the Integration API available for that purpose, or from the video management software Supervisor X, from where the user also has many other tools for the retrieval and analysis of the recordings.

UNCONDITIONAL DETECTION
AX-SmartSearch records all existing activity data on the whole picture, regardless of the settings of the recording.
AUTOMATED SYNCHRONIZATION
Embedded in the camera, the AX-SmartSearch application captures and records the motion data with the same date and time parameters than the video images. Similarly, the data are kept up to date and time of deletion of images to which they belong.
CONFIGURATION VIA WEB BROWSER
Easy and secure access to the camera interface to display the camera data and the status of the application, select the desired recording resource and check its status.
API FOR INTEGRATION
It has an integration API that facilitates the retrieval of the VMD metadata of the desired sequences from third-party software.
