Verint to share public safety best practices in Minnesota, Georgia, Colorado

Verint Systems announced that company experts will present at several U.S. public safety and emergency management conferences this month. Presentation topics and themes will address today’s emerging systems, while also offering real-life insights and the applications available to help meet the needs of today’s public safety professionals.

Minnesota Interoperability Conference
May 6-8; St. Cloud, Minnesota

Gary Schiavo, national strategic account manager, will host a session titled “New, Expanded Enterprise Class Recording in a Multi-Site Shared Environment” on May 7. Many agencies are looking to cut costs, but still want or need new technology. The discussion will explore how sharing cutting-edge technology can help create a multi-agency solution that adds redundancy and saves money. Conference participants will come away with real-world insights, practical knowledge and a common-sense approach to getting started.

2013 Government Technology Public Safety Conference & Expo
May 21; Duluth, Georgia

During this one-day event, Josh Phillips, director, marketing, enterprise and critical infrastructure, will participate in a roundtable discussion at 1:15 p.m. ET on “Analytics to Predict and Prevent Crime.” Focusing on the technologies used to help keep citizens as safe as possible, he will discuss the ways analytics can be used for video and audio applications to help investigate incident details. In this 1 p.m. MT session on “Sharing PSAPs in Geographically Challenged Regions,” Bill Pryor—director, public safety—will highlight the current state of emergency support in the Colorado and Idaho mountain regions. This technical panel will not only identify existing challenges for these communities, but also offer best practices and explore solutions designed to address them.
