Source: Synectics
Global security and surveillance specialist Synectics has appointed a new Rail Business Development Manager to expand the UK sales team and build on the recent successes achieved in the transport and infrastructure market.

Ken Kyle, a rail industry specialist with over eight years’ experience, will provide dedicated sales support for Synectics’ transport proposition and drive expansion of its rail, light rail and metro client portfolio throughout the UK and Europe.

Having successfully delivered passenger and fleet connectivity services since 2009 and established long-standing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in the rail sector, including ROSCOS (rolling stock companies), train operating companies and train builders, Ken is keen to take on this new challenge.

“Synectics’ integrated surveillance solutions and expertise in the transport sector offers a fantastic opportunity for me to contribute to the ongoing success and deliver an accelerated program of growth for the business.” Ken Kyle commented. “I am proud to have been asked to join the team and contribute to the continuing success of Synectics in the rail sector at such an exciting time.”

Synectics Sales and Marketing Director, Iain Stringer said: “Rail operators are under greater pressure than ever to keep their operations safe, secure and to provide a positive passenger experience. Our knowledge and experience in delivering on-vehicle, infrastructure and train-to-ground solutions is ideally suited to addressing this challenge, and it is important that we continue to grow the team to support our growth in this market.

“I am very pleased to welcome Ken to Synectics and look forward to the valuable contribution he will make”

Ken’s appointment follows a series of high-profile contract wins for Synectics in the UK and Europe including a fleet-wide surveillance upgrade for Rail for London trams, a contract extension with a north east metro operator to provide on-vehicle surveillance solutions for its light rail and tram services, and a passenger safety systems project with a major European railway company.
